Pregnancy test confusion? Took a pregnancy test today just a cheap pound shop one, i was due my period today and normally like clock work. Well for the past few months I’ve being anyways. As the strip test filled with urine 2 lines appeared one faint then the control one bright but the faint one then disappeared WTF? Very confused what does that mean……. This product absolutely shouldn’t advertise a 99% accuracy rate. I wish I could give it zero stars. I did not do any research before buying this test, just grabbed something that looked easy from the drugstore. I took the test in the morning, got a clear “Pregnant” readout. Went to the doctor later the same day, blood test came back negative. Also got a negative result the next day using a First Response test. After all that occurred, I did some reading on the internet and learned that this product actually has the highest false-positive rate of any home pregnancy test. Don’t BUY THIS!!!! You cannot trust the results, and no one needs the stress or heartache of thinking she’s pregnant when she actually is not.
Strange. Maybe a dodge test. Saying that, they say a line is a line no matter what. I say another test is your best bet. Goodluck hope it goes whichever way you’re wishing for!

I don’t write many reviews, but I felt I just had to share my joy over these early pregnancy tests. Bottom line…they WORK and the price doesn’t compare with the drugstore pregnancy tests. I begin testing VERY early. (Why not at 0.57 per test!) Just eight DPO, I got the very first positive. It was quite faint compared to the control line, but it was there. I tested the following two days and also had a positive bHCG (blood test) at ten DPO. The one person I told said I needed to wait 2 days before my period before the home pregnancy tests would indicate a pregnancy, but that’s NOT the case with these pregnancy test strips. I ordered five packs (25 total) because I figured I would be testing for several months, but if all goes well…I’ll have used only about 7 of them. You can’t go wrong ordering these pregnancy test strips. The directions are SIMPLE and you can see results in less than three minutes. As your HCG levels increase, you can see a result in a matter of seconds.
The generally accepted rule with a test is that ANY line, faint or not, is a positive result. Test again in three days, and then again in three days, and so on until you have your period or it comes out a more obvious positive. If you can't wait that long, try again when your husband gets home. You might have just gotten a dud. I bought a box of cheap tests, comes with two, took one yesterday and it didn't even work at all, today I had the same result as you. I'll test again in a week.

Usually, if you see anything, you're pregnant. They're much more likely to have false negatives than false positives. The tests look for a certain hormone, and sometimes there isn't much of it yet. Take another in a couple days. In the mean time, stop smoking and drinking, and assume you're pregnant.
