How do get fertility treatment in sims 3? You need to fulfill some wishes of your Sims until you have enough points to purchase it. I don't know the name of the reward but just look at the description of one of the lifetime rewards. From my experience it’s enough to give it one Sim (I tend to choose the female) but for extra heavy result (like almost guaranteed twins) give it to both.

Why don't anti-embryonic stem cell research advocates protest at fertility clinics? I just don't understand it. The anti-ers will protest abortion clinics and just about anywhere else with signs that say how life begins at conception and abortion and stem cell research is murder, but I’ve NEVER heard of a protest going on at a fertility clinic. Those clinics that provide IVF treatments kill thousands of embryos that were left over in the process. Why is it that they would protest treatment that has the potential to save thousands if not millions of people's lives, but they don't protest places that just kill embryos because they were extras and not needed?

My experience is that a lot of people dont know what is involved in IVF. They think it’s hormones and artificial insemination. They dont know that embryos are killed, or that there is nothing you can do to prevent dead embryos with IVF. Or even one of the other answers is going on about adult stem cell research, when this question has nothing to do with adult stem cell research (although, its interesting that the poster expects there to be treatments in less than fifteen years of research when adult stem cells took over fifty years to have a single treatment in a single patient). And those who do know whats involved seem to dismiss it because its suddenly not murder when you’re going through vain attempts at a pregnancy after your body screamed no… Why wouldnt it be ok, as we sit and feel sorry for the poor childless woman and then therefore accept any fertility treatment without question, even when you find the SAME procedures murder in other contexts….

Embryonic stem cell research is viewed as a form of murder. Adult stem cell research is not, and shouldn’t be, fetuses aren’t destroyed. Interestingly, adult stem cell research is the only type that has generated results. And the Democrats insist on federally funding embryonic stem cells, which have yet to generate any positive results. If you truly wanted to save lives, you'd be backing adult stem cell research, which has developed treatments, not embryonic stem cell research which has been a waste of taxpayer money up until this point. Adult stem cell research also has no moral dilemnas associated with it, although it's clear that doesn't concern you, this is the bipartisan solution.

They would rather the left over embryos go into the trash can rather than contribute to saving life. I guess it has something to do with common sense and how the right wingnuts can not allow that to be used in ANY argument or debate.

Insurance Rider for Infertility and IVF? I live in Louisiana and have insurance through Vantage, which doesn’t cover any infertility issues. I’ve heard of supplemental insurance policies that can be purchased that will cover infertility treatments, including IVF. Does anyone have any information on what kind of specific policies cover such procedures? I’m also curious about the Mandated Infertility Coverage in some states. I thought that Louisiana was one of those states, but I can't find any information on it. Does anyone have more information on that? Any help is appreciated!

Actually, Louisiana is one of the fifteen states that does require insurance companies to provide minimal coverage. Your company would be exempt if religious based, headquartered out of state that doesn’t require coverage or under twenty-five employees. Unfortunately, the word is MINIMAL – it doesn’t require coverage of IVF, IUI or any fertility meds. It only requires testing and treatment of “correctable medical conditions”. Basically if you had PCOS, endometriosis, tubes blocked due to scarring (not sterilization) then they would work with you to correct it so long as it was not an actual fertilitiy med or treatment like IVF. The goal is to make it “possible” for you to get pregnant if you have a medical condition but NOT to help you become pregnant. Here is a link: You should also contact Fertility Lifelines – they’ve a toll free #, can go through your current coverage and make recommendations: Good luck and loads of baby dust to you!
