What Causes Infertility in Men & Women?
Infertility in women simply means that women can’t conceive because of some health problems. In some cases, infertile women may get pregnant, but the risk of a miscarriage is very high. In addition to a possible miscarriage and other possible complications, it’s important for women and men to understand what causes infertility.
What Causes Infertility in Woman
When looking at what causes infertility in women, there are actually numerous causes. Heredity reigns as the number one cause of infertility. Other causes are an excessive consumption of alcohol and the use of prohibited drugs. Age, diet, and smoking play a part in infertility, as well. Even a sexually transmitted disease may cause infertility. After heredity, the most common cause of infertility in women develops with an ovulatory problem. Ovulation is actually a very complex matter. Most women don’t fully understand the importance of it in regards to their reproductive system. Most women only know that a discussion of ovulation refers to the ‘female egg cell.’ What most of them don’t know is that through this process, the egg undergoes fertilization.
An irregular menstruation cycle is another indicator that something is wrong inside women’s reproductive system. Other causes of infertility in women are excessive exercise, increased amount of prolactin, tubal scarring, cysts on the ovaries, weight loss, obesity, abnormalities on the thyroid gland and adrenal glands, and even psychological strain and stress.

Similar to women’s cases, men have their own infertility problems, too. The most common cause of male infertility develops when their sperm count is very low. This happens when men consume too much alcohol, intake too many prohibited drugs, and smoke too much. A healthy and mature sperm cell helps to help fertilize the egg, but when the count of the sperm cell doesn’t reach the average count, it’s more likely to have failed results.
Other cause of infertility in men is when they’re underweight. Malnutrition can cause infertility in men, as the body needs vitamins and minerals in order to function well. Aside from malnutrition, obesity is another serious matter when it comes to male infertility. Another cause of male infertility is too much heat exposure, such as constantly having hot baths, going into a Jacuzzi, using spas all the time, and even going to saunas or taking a steam bath.
Solutions to Infertility
Once men and women learn what causes infertility, the best way to treat it’s for them to discuss all the possible treatments and medications available with their doctor. From there, they need to decide which kind of treatments, procedures, and even medications best serve their own situation. The doctor normally runs tests to determine which treatment will fit the women’s or the men’s specific condition. In some cases, drug medications are the only requirement. For some, surgery is the answer. On the other hand, because of today’s modern technology, patients are often discharge from the hospital immediately after the procedure. Another way to help treat infertility is through acupuncture. Studies show that acupuncture, combined with conventional medicines and infertility treatment, increases the chances of conceiving to one hundred percent.

Don't be foolish. Those stats aren’t accurate. They’re ridiculous. If a an able and decent fourty-five year old man wants kids, then he has them already. (AND At that age a mans own ability to produce healthy children -and the gear that delivers them- is going through some unfortunate changes of their own.) A woman should have kids when and if she wants them, and not just when a man says it's time. Sam: “men don’t get less fertile with age” that’s not entirely true. Our goods age with us, and cell reproduction diminishes. (PROOF In the appearance of older people. You age BECAUSE cell reproduction diminishes.) As you know, sperm are cells. This means the quality of said cells goes way down, as does quantity and viability. Whats more, the unfortunate fact is that the delivery system is also aging. By age fourty most men begin to panic when they realize that they need manual help to get the gear to even wake up properly. Many men cant get it to wake up at all anymore without pills. The pills don't liven the sperm production. The long and short of it’s that we do loose some of our fertility as we get older. Sad, but true.
